Michael’s Background

Michael Beavers is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He is also a leadership and life coach, supporting clients (typically therapists, business or community leaders, or other professionals) who are looking to maximize their potential through the development and execution of cutting-edge strategies, including focusing on use of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People model and development of compelling and motivating life mission statements.

His experience includes founding and leading Mountain Counseling & Training, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization focusing on providing Wraparound-style children’s services to severely challenged youth and their families.  

He is a graduate of California Baptist University, has received post-graduate training in leadership development and coaching at the San Bernardino County Management Leadership Academy (at which he also served as a training consultant) and the Executive Coaching College. 

Michael has over two decades of experience as a marriage and family therapist, specializing in family therapy, Wraparound, and individual clinical work. He has also been active in community service, serving Rotary and faith-based groups in such areas as Abolition.  He is currently working on developing a non-profit organization focused on building Christian Community in small groups and addressing justice issues (especially racial justice and human trafficking)..

Theologically, Michael

1) has recently completed a year of training/mentorship in the area of missional Christian formation;

2) is currently engaged in a eighteen-month program based on the work of Dallas Willard;

3) took vows with the Order of the Mustard Seed (see www.OrderoftheMustardseed.com) in October of 2023..
